Team doctor Jacek Jaroszewski stated that Lewandowski will be working hard to return for the second match against Austria. Poland is in a challenging group with the Netherlands, Austria, and France. With that, Lewandowski’s performance is crucial for qualifying from Group D. If Lewandowski returns for the Austria game, his fitness may be questioned for the final group clash against France.
Lewandowski, a 35-year-old striker, ended the La Liga campaign with 11 goals and three assists in his final 15 appearances.
