Paris Saint-Germain to seal title

Paris Saint-Germain just needs a draw or a win against RC Strasbourg in order to seal their 11th title in Ligue 1. PSG have been dominating this season, and is a point closer from defending their Ligue 1 title. Although PSG is currently sitting at the top of the league table, they are still not guaranteed of the title. Strasbourg on the other hand is just looking to at least go in a much safer place in the league table. They are currently at the 15th, just two places above the drop zone. A win in this match would bring them at the 14th with 42 points across their names. From their last 25 matches, PSG won 17 matches, while Strasbourg had just three wins. This meeting will be on May 28, 2023, at 3:00 AM (GMT+8), with Strasbourg as hosts.

PSG is a team who have been dominant in the league all-season, putting them at the top of the league table. However, they have been inconsistent this season, which is why they have yet to claim the title here. PSG are with six-point lead with the team at the second though, which is already a safe lead for them, but a lone point would make them defend their title here. They have a good momentum and confidence coming into this match though. They are form a 2-1 win against Auxerre on their last match, and are now aiming for the same result here. In doing so, they need to be at their best in this match to finally secure the title. Kylian Mbappe is expected to lead PSG in this match, as he is lethal for them.

They will be without Achraf Hakimi, who will be serving the second of his two-game ban for a red card he got against Ajaccio. PSG will also be without Neymar, Nordi Mukiele, Presnel Kimpembe, and Nuno Mendes who are all injured. There is no news about Nbappe, Lionel Messi, and Marco Verratti, after the three opted to sit out during their training.

RC Strasbourg

La Liga: RC Strasbourg

Strasbourg on the other hand is at the 15th of the league table with aims of improving their standings so they could be in a safer place. They are with 39 points, and a win against PSG will make them go at the14th of the league table. Strasbourg failed to be at their best this season, which puts them just two places above the league drop zone. On their last match, they played out a 1-1 draw against Troyes, and are now aiming to take it up a notch in this game. Fortunately, Strasbourg were able to show improvement recently. This is important for them if they want to stand a chance and win against the defending champions. Since they are playing at home, they have the confidence coming into this match because they won five of their last seven home games.

Dijiku will be sitting out in this match as he was slapped with a one-game suspension from their last match. Thomas Delaine, Eiji Kawashima, and Fredric Guilbert all remains unavailable in this match as well due to their injuries.
