Talking about points, he is just 1,326 points away from surpassing the late Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for number one. Moreover, for the assist, he needs 97 assists to surpass Magic Johnson, and is 15 games away from passing Clifford Robinson in the games played. Additionally, as he enters a new season, one game from him means being included in the list of players with 20 seasons. He could also make new records in steals, 3-pointers made, and triple-doubles this season.

Just like his old pal, Chris Paul could also make a new record in steals and assists this season. Last season, he became the first player in the NBA history with 20,000 career points and 10,000 career assists. Not long after, he passed Steve Nash for being the number three in league all-time assist leaders. Finishing the league with 10,977 assists, he is 1,115 assists away from the number two assist leader. On the other hand, Paul only needs 62 steals this season to pass Michael Jordan. Jordan is currently the third, and once Paul gets 62 more steals, he will be the one on the third spot for that award.

James Harden

Points and free throws are the possible milestones to be reached by James Harden this upcoming NBA season. He is currently the 28th when it comes to career points, having 23, 477 points in his career. Hi is currently 281 points away from passing Charles Barkley in the 27th, and 1,029 points away from being the 25th. Meanwhile, in free throws, Harden always place in the Top 10 free throws made each season since 2012-13. In fact, he made it to the list for six consecutive seasons from 2014-20. Now, he need 117 free throws to pass Jerry West in the eighth place. If this season goes well for him, he might even surpass Oscar Robertson as the fifth in that list.
