Miami Heat to seal Finals spot

Miami Heat to seal Finals spot

Miami Heat is looking to finally enter the conference Finals once again with a win against the New York Knicks for their Game 5 meeting. The Heat is now leading the series, with a 3-1 record, which means they just need a win in this match to enter the finals. Knicks on the other hand is aiming to stop the Heat from doing so. The Knicks are looking to stave off elimination, and be optimistic of their chances for the Finals. However, the Knicks need to show improvements, as the Heat defeated them for two-straight times already. It is just unfortunate that both teams have members of their team who is questionable, due to their injuries. The Game 5 of this series will be on May 11, 2023, at 7:30 AM (GMT+8), when the Knicks return home.

The Heat is expected to go all-out in this match, as they are a win away from entering the Finals of the Eastern Conference. They are now with a 3-1 lead, as they were able to get a 109-101 win on their last match. Their journey is not easy, as they are a team who needed to play in the play-in series. After their play-in, they were placed at the eighth, and needed to win against the mighty Bucks. Additionally, they also lost one of their best players, as Tyler Herro sustained an injury. On their Game 4, they were able to stop Knicks’ late rally to secure a victory. Jimmy Butler, and Bam Adebayo led the Heat that time. Mike Strus and Kyle Lowry were also able to chip in for the Heat, which is one of the reason why they were able to pull off a win.

In this important match, it is unfortunate that the Heat have some important doubts in this match, especially Jimmy Butler. He sustained an injury on their last match, which puts him as questionable here along with Highsmith, and Martin. Victor Oladipo, and Tyler Herro on the other hand are both absent in this match, following their injuries.

The Knicks on the other hand is on the verge of facing elimination since they are down by two games. This match is a do-or-die game for them already, so they really need to go all-out for this match. During their Game 4, the Knicks actually put up a solid effort, even rallying late in that game. However, it is just really not enough, as they were not able to complete their comeback in that match. Jalen Brunson takes charge for the Knicks, putting up a double-double, 32 points, and 11 assists. RJ Barrett, and Julius Randle also put up numbers for the Knicks with 24 and 20 points each. However, coming into this match, a maximum effort is needed by the Knicks if they want to showcase a miracle here. Barrett believes that they need to play hard in this match, so they could win here.

Considering the way he played in Game 4, Jalen Brunson, who chips in 25.2 points per game, is expected to lead the Knicks. RJ Barrett is also expected to provide numbers for the Knicks, as he scores 19.4 points per game. Immanuel Quickley is a doubt in this game, while Jericho Sims is already unavailable all season.
