Manchester City is aiming to avoid another heartbreak as they face Sevilla for the finals of the UEFA Super Cup. Sevilla on the other hand did not do well domestically last season, as they finished at the 12th of the La Liga standings. It seems like this misfortune continues as they failed to have a strong opener in the contest. In fact, they suffered a 2-1 loss against Valencia on their opener in the La Liga. However, this result is because of the fact that Sevilla is still in the process of adjusting from their new leadership. Coming into this match, Sevilla needs to work harder as they aim to bounce back to try to win the title. Additionally, Sevilla is actually a capable team, so they can pack a punch in this match. However, going against a mighty Manchester City squad is difficult, so they really need to work harder coming into this game.

Fortunately for Sevilla, they did not have a new injured player, following the send off of Loic Bade. A hamstring injury would keep Tanguy Nianzou is expected to miss this match. Marcao on the other hand, have yet to return to training, following his quadriceps injury.
