India and West Indies to close out their three-game ODI match

India is looking to close out their three-game ODI match versus the West Indies with a sweep.

It was a collective effort for the Indian team that allowed them to take the lead. It was led by Axar Patel who showed excellent batting skills during their first two ODI matches. He was helped by batters Shreyas Iyer and Sanju Samson who also played an important role during the matches.

The Indian team was able to pull off a 2-wicket victory during the second ODI, making them lead the series. On the other hand, the home team, West Indies on the other hand is looking to get a win before the conclusion of their three-game ODI match against India. A win for their last ODI match is a boost for the team’s morale as they are set to go against India once again for their T20I match.

Both of the teams lack player and will have to miss their third ODI match. Jason Holder will not play for West Indies as he tested positive for Covid-19. Another player who cannot play against the West Indies is Gudakesh Motie who suffers from injury.

Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja is still doubtful if he can play in their last ODI match as the team keeps an eye on his fitness. With the absence of these players, other bench players have to step up their game in order to get the win.

The five-game T20I series between India and West Indies will begin on July 29, 2022.
